Viola M. Dobbelaere, age 81 died Sunday, May 13 at Estelle’s Hospice House, Ocala, FL.

She was born May 28, 1930 in Paulding county, Ohio, the daughter of Arthur I. and Frances E. (Hart) Harrow. On November 4, 1950 she married Morris R. Dobbelaere, who survives. She was a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Parish, Paulding Eagles, Friendly Neighbors Farm Bureau Council, Eagles Lodge #2405, and was a past member of Busy Neighbors Extension Club.

She is also survived by her children: Cathy (Larry) Thornell, Paulding; Cindy (Rich) Skiver, Defiance, Tom (Shelly) Dobbelaere, Paulding, Tim (Tami) Dobbelaere, Oakwood, Carole (Mark) Gross, Paulding, and Denise (Joel) Althauser, Kenton; a brother, James (Jeanne) Harrow, Cecil; 2 sisters, Marjorie Howell, Paulding, and Joan (Max) Pease, Latty; 19 grandchildren: Tricia (Todd) Niederholtmeyer, Gary (Amy) Thornell, TJ (Heather) Thornell, Lori (Brad) Baughman, Kim (Chad) Molitor, Krista (Brian) Schroeder, Lana (Don) Gorrell, Jenni (Jason) Hoffman, Lisa Dobbelaere, Britney Dobbelaere, Desirae (Dan) Hagerman, Adam (Stacy) English, Karli Dobbelaere, Zach (Amy) Dobbelaere, Aaron Gross, Spencer Gross, Preston Gross, Jackson Althauser, and Delaney Althauser; 30 Great Grandchildren: Julia, Adam, Elyse, Gianna, Eric, Jessica, Holden, Dakota, Alex, Nick, Annaleise, Eli, Brooke, Hannah, Luke, Logan, Hayden, Kalli, Max, Henry, Alexis, Jacob, Nevayah, Tatem, Hailey, Olivia, Isaak, Raymond, Cole and Claire; brother-in-laws, Fred Grindstaff, and Joe Hale; and sister-in-law, Luetta Harrow.

She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 daughters, Frances Marie and Julie Annett Dobbelaere; a brother, Richard Harrow; 2 sisters, Mary Louise Grindstaff and Pauline Hale; and a brother-in-law, Clayton Howell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 10 AM Monday, May 21 at Divine Mercy Catholic Parish with Rev. G. Allan Fillman. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Paulding.

Visitation will be 2 – 8PM Sunday, May 20 at Den Herder Funeral Home, with a Rosary service at 7:30 PM. There is also visitation one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Donations may be made to Masses or a charity of the donor’s choice.
